Ken should be posting the pics of my bearing pour to maybe help in your new cap purchase. Doing the top is the easiest using a grease cup as the sprue and Play Doe for containing the babbitt. I also drilled a small vent hole on the car end of the long cap to reduce the cold shut. You may not have to do that. But it doesn't hurt as it seals itself up.
Good luck,
Ron

2009/3/25 The Foster's <foster@ellijay.com>

I looked today and I think I have what you need, I have a set of the bearing
caps for the 16" Meadows. Both caps for the frame side and one for the
pulley side.

Denny, that would be great news indeed. Yes we are talking the
side opposite the belt pulley. It is the pillow
block that
sits outside of the box in which the fixed stone is cemented. The
measurements I took are off of the
bottom portion which I still have.
I certainly have time so just let me know. I will be
cutting out the new mill pieces
during the next couple of weeks at a
wood shop here in Navasota. I won't reassemble the mill for a
month or
so.

Later,
Faber

On Mar 22, 2009, at 7:54

may have what you are looking for, I have several remains of mills that
stones were robbed out of. It will take me a day or two to sort through
and find everything I have. I should have an answer for you in a
couple of days if you can wait. I was in an out building yesterday
and found the bottom half of the bearing for a 16" Meadows but no
top. we are talking about the side opposite of the belt pulley and
frame correct?

Denny
----- Original Message ----- From: "Faber
