Jeb Here. I think Jeff was referring to me and the new acquisition I just got from him. I got a Quaker City mill from him a few months back (care of his father) and just last week, Jeff drove by on is way from Florida and dropped off a Heebner & Sons feed grinder, which I had never heard of. I have done a little bit of research on this and found out that they were a local company but did quite a lot of exporting (exported to Siberia, Argentina, and several other countries...not bad for a small town business!). They were better known for their small threshers under the name "Little Giant" and apparently someone published a book about the history of the company which I'll try to get someday in hopes of finding some good pictures of the grinders in there. If I had to guess, i'd say the grinder dates to sometime in the 1880s and it's really neat. I'm out of town right now but i'll send out some pictures when I get back to the house.
