Hi Jim,
I think that the variety is called Hopi Blue. I think that I got the seed from Shumway in Randolph Wisconsin about 5 years ago. I have just been keeping enough seed each year since then to grow as much as I need.

Darrell,
What is the variety and the seed source for the corn you have grown?

thanks!

I have grown blue corn in the front yard ( about 50 lbs)  and grind for my own use. I find it to be very flavorful. It has a nutty flavor. I think that it is different. It is not as blue or purple as the blue corn chips that I buy in the store. The NM department of agriculture says that it is much higher in lysine ( protein) that other corn.
