Folks,
I suppose the first thing we would need to do is try to come up with a
list of volunteers who are willing to help?
We have John G, Faber McMullen, and Joe Rolfe so far. We need more ------
We need a plan/drawing/ measurements of the mill we intend to restore.
Then we would need some kind of list of materials and tools required so
we can have things at the ready.
Although I am flexible - I propose the weekend of April 24th, 25th, and
26th. Running over into Thursday or Monday is not a problem for me.
If distance, and gas costs, are an issue for folks who want to attend
and contribute expertise, we can gather up a gas kitty.
I make lots of coffee and iced tea, occasionally lemonade. Bring soft
drinks if you want them.
I will have beds and a big pot of something to eat. Bring Pot Luck food
(deserts, salads, snacks). Bring your own towels.
Rules of the house : Smoke outside, no pets please, moderate alcohol,
Put it back.
Joe Rolfe

P. S. Starr Homeplace is just North of Oak RIDGE, not Oak GROVE,
Louisiana. We are 14 miles North of Rayville on Interstate 20. We are
five hours from Dallas and New Orleans, Four from Meridian, Little
Rock, and Memphis, Two from Jackson and Shreveport. Monroe is 30 miles
away and does have air service, but it is usually expensive.
