  Bud,

   

  Are you talking about repair, or is it a total restoration?  There is a lot

  of difference in simply making it work, and making it like new.  If you

  are talking restoration, this is worth it if you can afford it.  On the other

  hand, you should be able to find a working mill for considerably less, it

  just won't be like new and will probably have a lot of wear and probably

  won't grind as efficiently.

   

  This is always a hard call, and usually depends on how you plan to use it

  and how deep your pockets are.

    I recently purchase a Meadow 24" mill that needs repair.  It has been estimated to cost around $3000 to repair by meadows...does anyone think it is worth repairing for this amount?
