Thanks, Jeb,

The Straub in Cincinnati was Isaac and the one in Philadelphia was
Ambrose W. I don't know if they are related, but the companies were
separate from all I can tell.

I still can't find a website for Straub in PA. They are apparently in
Administer, PA from what I can find find online.

Take care.

Ken

Quaker City is at www.qcgsys.com. If you go to their home page and click on "Laboratory grinding mills" it says "Manufactured by Straub Co, a division of QCG systems."

I'm not sure if it is the same company or not, but the Straub that made the "Queen of the south" stone mills is apparently still in business under the name "ROTEX" and can be found at www.rotex.com. They have an interesting bit of information under their "history" tab. Again, this may be two different companies as the Rotex company seems to be based in Cinncinatti, OH and the Quaker Straub in Phillidelphia, PA. You be the judge.
