[Gristmillers] Testing moisture content in corn?

The way I would test the moisture in grain would be to take a sample to your
local grain elevator and ask them to test it. You would need a pound or
two for them to have enough to run through their machine. Some farmers have
bought portable moisture meters, about a hundred dollars, that they use in
the field to test moisture before they harvest thier soybeans, wheat, corn,
rice, etc. but not as accurate as a grain elevator that buys grain and must
have a freshly calabrated machine. I use to have one, but do not have a
clue where it is. What I do have is a rice huller that will take the hulls
off rice or what to that you can make rice flour or wheat flour, I have sort
have gotten out of the bussiness and have no use for the hulller, This is
the only one I have ever seen. No big deal, just thought I would mention
it. Fred, Oxford, Ms.
