If you want an idea of prices go to http://www.meadowsmills.com/forsalehm.htm
Be prepared to work on them. Good wood working abilities and some mechanical savvy.
There a quite a few out there. I put a want ad in and got at least 10 calls. 4 visits and 10 calls showed me bearing journals clammed shut in need of new babbitt, all needed new wood, the iron ones made me nervous, most of the others were too big and finally got me my sweet sixteen for $200. Had a 30" w/ 4 cyl engine for free if I would come and get it. Should have gotten the 8" and 12" but I'm out of room.
  Happy Holidays,
  Ron

I have watched your posts for a year. I live in Texas and am a member of an Open Brethren
Community. We grow our own wheat and would like to purchase a larger mill to grind our
own flour and corn. I have seen you all trying to buy each others mills (like the guy the other day
with the 24" mill in Florida). I never know what is a good deal and what isn't. Some of
you all are trying to buy an "extra" mill. We just are trying to buy one mill that would be
nice to look at and would be useable.

We have all kinds of tractors to drive the grinder, or we could
use an electric one to put in our new Meeting House. Please consider what you have that
might be clean, in working condition, and how much we would need to pay you for it. We
do not know the values so we ask you to be honest with us. You can study our group at
    www.thehomefellowship.org

    Thanks and Happy New Year,
